Basically, the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) was created to decentralize the delivery of development services by directly allocating public resources to constituencies. Its main aim is to empower local communities to participate in identifying and implementing development projects that meet their specific needs. By doing so, CDF seeks to promote fairness in resource distribution, improve transparency and accountability in the use of public funds, and support the broader goal of national development through localized, community-led initiatives.
