Commissioning of New Police Post and Handover of Grants and Loans Under 2024 CDF
The Chivuna community celebrated a significant milestone today as a new police post was officially commissioned and grants and loans were handed over to successful beneficiaries under the 2024 Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
The commissioning of the new police post marks a crucial step in enhancing security and law enforcement in the area. The facility, equipped with modern amenities, is expected to improve the safety and well-being of the community members. The event was attended by the District leadership, law enforcement representatives, and community leaders, who expressed their gratitude for the establishment of the new police post.
In addition to the commissioning of the police post, the 2024 CDF also saw the successful allocation of K 2,328,000.00 for grants to 117 youths and women Clubs and K 3,300.000.00 for loans to 19 entrepreneurs within the community. The grants and loans, aimed at supporting small businesses, education initiatives, and community development projects, were handed over to the beneficiaries during a ceremony held today 9/04/2024 at the Chivuna new police post.
The handover of grants and loans under the 2024 CDF reflects the commitment of government to empower and uplift the community through targeted financial support. The beneficiaries, who underwent a rigorous selection process, expressed their appreciation for the opportunity to access funding that will enable them to pursue their entrepreneurial and business development
